POLICY

  • Please be respectful of our time as we are a by-appointment business.

No Shows and cancellations within 1 hour of your appointment time will result in full payment of your groom.

Canceling/Rescheduling must be at least 24 hour in advance to avoid a $50 reservation fee.

Clients 10 (or more) minutes late risk losing their scheduled appointment and being charged a no show fee. However, if we can still service your pet there will be a $25 late fee added.

We are not a Daycare Facility and cannot accommodate Daycare time for your dog. Our kennel space is limited so our days are scheduled accordingly.

If your dog is not picked up 30 minutes after we call a fee will be accumulated of $10 per 15 minutes.

  • Per Washington State Law your dog must be vaccinated against Rabies.

If your dog can not be vaccinated we require a document from your vet stating so.

Parvo vaccinations are required to have your dog groomed at Barks and Bubbles.

We offer express service for dogs that need to be returned quickly but an added fee of $20 for small dogs and $30 for large dogs will be added. Please let us know if this is a requirement at the time of your scheduling.

  • We understand that matting happens. To avoid this we urge you to do your part and brush at home and maintain a regular grooming schedule of 6-8 weeks.

We try to avoid shaving but when matting is extreme it’s the most humane thing to do for your dog. Brushing and de-matting a dog can take hours and cost you $100s of dollars but worse yet it can be painful for your dog.

If shaving is necessary we will contact you first before proceeding. We reserve the right to turn you away if we feel the matting is to extreme and dangerous.

Mats left in a dogs coat will grow tighter and tighter which can strangle a dogs skin and even tear it open. Mats can trap bacteria, moisture, fungus, and all kinds of things that are not healthy. This can cause skin irritation and sores which may need to be seen by a vet.

Extreme mat removal procedures can also irritate the skin causing redness, itchiness, and irritations. This is why we insist pet owners of breeds that can mat stay on top of their brushing and grooming.

  • We work very hard to create a healthy environment and quality experience for your pet. Please treat us with kindness and respect.

We reserve the right to turn any client away with rude or unkind behavior.

We have zero tolerance for disrespect and hateful speech.

 FAQS

  • No, we use special shampoos & conditioners to ensure the hair is clean. Clipping ‘dirty’ hair puts wear and tear on the equipment and can lead to an uneven groom!

If the hair is not properly washed and prepped it can be more time consuming to groom.

  • We accept cash, or cards.

    No checks please.

  • We try. Sometimes a dogs behavior can alter how much we can trim. We can only go as far as the quick/vein will allow us to go.

Even if you still see white on the nail this does not mean we can go shorter. Monthly nail trims are advised if you want to keep your dogs nails at a reasonable length.

  • Prices are subject to change from each appointment.

Some price-altering factors include but are not limited to coat condition, size of pet, and behavior.
